MSL1 package removed after SLES 11.3 upgrade

Hello,

I have posted comments to the MSL1 supportpac for this issue, but wanted to mention it on the LISTSERV to make others aware and also see if anyone else has encountered this.

Our Linux administrators are in the process of upgrading our SLES servers from version 11 patchlevel 1 to version 11 patchlevel 3. When they perform the standard upgrade, there appears to be compatibility issue with the MSL1 package and patchlevel 3, which results in the MSL1 package being uninstalled after the upgrade is completed. We use MSL1 to start and stop our queue manager on Linux, so this results in the queue managers not starting after the server is brought up. Our current workaround is to have the Linux admins post install the MSL1 package, and then reboot the server a second time. The MSL1 package does install successfully on SLES 11.3.

Has anyone else experienced this behavior?

Thanks,
Tim Zielke
