Discussion:
Killing off a Broker

Environment is AIX 6.1, WMQ v7.0.1.9, and WMB v7.0.0.1 and WMB v7.0.0.5

If I have a Broker that won't stop via the mqsistop command, with or
without the -i argument, is there a recommended order to killing off
(kill -9 <processid>) the processes for that Broker? Killing the
DataFlowEngine processes first results in them being restarted on their
own so I'm assuming those would be last. Is there a preferred order to
killing off the bipservice, bipbroker and biphttplistener processes? Or
doesn't that matter?

Thanks.

bipservice restarts bipbroker.

bipbroker restarts biphttplistener and DataFlowEngines.

So kill them in that order:
bipservice
bipbroker
biphttplistener
DataFlowEngines

Thank you,
