Hi,

On a linux (Redhat 64 bit) server I have  MQ 7.5.0.3 and  MQ 7.0.1.7 running. When I tried to use qload utility on MQ 7.5 qmgr I'm getting 2059. Even after setting setmqenv , I'm getting the same error.

Any ideas on how to fix this ?

Note: On Linux server which has only MQ 7.5 installation , qload works fine.

error :
QLOAD Program by Paul Clarke [ V1.9 Build:Jun 26 2012 ]
MQCONN on object 'IIBT2AB33' returned 2059 QMgr not available..

Thanks in advance

Thank you
Tej

Is the MQSERVER set up correctly? "setmqenv" did not set up that environment variable.

Thanks,

Thank you every one for your inputs

With the help of Paul Clark I was able to resolve the issue

With multiple installation of MQ MQM_DLL_PATH need to be populated. Some how QLOAD is picking up /opt/mqm lib even after setting setmqenv for MQ 7.5

After exporting MQM_DLL_PATH issue resolved

Thank You
Tej

Hi Tej,

It looks like the qload executable was not built with dynamically linking the MQ shared object files (i.e. libmqe.so). Instead, it looks like it directly opens the shared object files (i.e. with a dlopen call?) into the qload address space. It must default to /opt/mqm/lib64 (for the 64 bit qload version) as the directory to use, or use the MQM_DLL_PATH environment variable, if provided. I do not see a mention of MQM_DLL_PATH in the MO03 manual or the MQ manual. This is probably a proprietary environment variable that qload uses. Thanks for the information.

You may also want to check out this doc in the MQ 7.5 infocenter -> http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/wmqv7/v7r5/topic/com.ibm.mq.ref.adm.doc/q083560_.htm?resultof=%22%73%65%74%6d%71%65%6e%76%22%20

It has the following, which looks like it applies to your configuration:

“If you have installed WebSphere MQ V 7.0.1, do not use the setmqenv command. Some of the components of WebSphere MQ V 7.0.1, such as Explorer, reference the environment variables for their library paths and therefore will not work if the setmqenv command has been used to alter the environment variables to point to a WebSphere MQ V 7.0.1 installation path.”

Thanks,
Tim

Am I being a bit dozy today? Surely you need setmqenv (or crtmqenv at least) to use your 7.5 system. Or are they saying not to explicitly point at Installation0 using setmqenv? I assume so but the wording is ambiguous.

I tend to just do setmqenv –r to get back to the 7.0.1. system – seems to work ok.

Cheers,
Paul
